International Day for Tolerance
The International Day for Tolerance is held on November 16th of each year. This day was created to bring awareness regarding the impacts of intolerance and the importance of respecting culture, race, ethnicity, age, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, social class, physical ability or attributes, religious or ethical values system, national origin, and political beliefs.
The slogan “I Stand for Equity and Justice for All” reflects your support of belonging and inclusion of all people.
This slogan is intended to inspire others to take action to both educate themselves and others about social justice and human rights issues, as well as empowering people to be their true authentic selves. It also shows your support in the fight to end all forms of hate and discrimination.
We encourage you to check out the resources on Chapters4Change.com which aims to dismantle racism and discrimination through the promotion of reading materials, educational resources, changemaker spotlights, and author interviews as a means to “Read to Learn and Learn to Change.”
