Chapters4Change is committed to partnering with school boards, educational institutions, and community groups to collaborate on change-making initiatives and to offer learning/literature circles (LCs) which promote education, reflection, collaboration, action, and sustainable change.

DSBN
In November 2021, Chapters4Change partnered with the District School Board of Niagara (DSBN) to work together toward a shared vision and goal of creating a culture of transformative and impactful change within the field of education through offering Learning Circles (LCs) to DSBN faculty, staff, and educators. These LCs promote anti-bias, anti-racism, and anti-oppression education and work toward creating sustainable change. Furthermore, they help to create inclusive spaces for all by engaging educators in courageous and meaningful conversations around equity, diversity, and inclusion and collaborating to discover actions which can be taken to ensure we achieve equitable outcomes for all students at the elementary and post-secondary levels. Together we are committed to disrupting the status quo by working to identify and remove systematic barriers, amplify student voices, and create culturally and historically responsive curricula. We want to thank DSBN for their partnership with us.

STEP Youth Resource Centre
In June 2022, Chapters4Change partnered with the STEP Youth Resource Centre to work together toward a shared vision and goal of creating safe spaces for our Niagara Youth! On September 29, 2019, STEP opened its doors to the youth in Niagara with the goal of offering a welcoming space where they can be themselves and find resources which can help them to thrive and grown. Clients can access a variety of programs and support services, life skills training, and same day counselling! Like Chapters4Change, STEP is committed to making community connections and partnerships, focusing on a "Circle of Care" which only grows stronger through organizations supporting each other. This "Circle of Care" is created to connect young people with organizations, resources, and caring mentors. Chapters4Change is very excited to partner with STEP to collaborate on further initiatives for positive change in Niagara!

Justice 4 Black Lives
In August 2021, Chapters4Change partnered with Justice 4 Black Lives to work together with a shared mission of brining the Niagara community together in education and action toward ending racism and discrimination within the Niagara Region and beyond! Chapters4Change Co-founders Janice Desroches and Jenn Shelswell have been collaborating closely with Justice 4 Lives Founder Sherri Darlene on initiatives to help bring members of the Niagara community together in a shared vision of creating a safer, more inclusive and equitable Niagara. Chapters4Change very much values this community partnership and is committed to collaborating on future projects and the creation of a Community Hub!

In July 2022, Chapters4Change partnered with UPlift Black, a social impact agency that works towards Uplifting the Black community in Simcoe County. This partnership shares the vision of anchoring our work in 2SLGBTQIA+ inclusivity while working towards creating safe, inclusive, and equitable spaces for all. Chapters4Change values this community partnership and looks forward to collaborating on upcoming initiatives!

Safe Space Niagara
In May 2022, Chapters4Change partnered with Safe Space Niagara (previously known as Stay Strong Collective) to work collaboratively toward their shared goal of creating safe, inclusive, and equitable spaces within the Niagara Region. Chapters4Change is actively involved in working with SSN to promote wellness activities to members of the Niagara community. Chapters4Change values this community partnership and looks forward to collaborating on other change-making initiatives!
